In today’s podcast, episode_06, I discuss the benefits that accompany the decision to exit the matrix. Are we really living “free” lives as we believe we are, or are we truly being shuttled through the very limiting confines of pre-determined systems that we fail to ever question? Today, I explore how the vast majority of us, no matter where we live in the world, stick to choices within a pre-determined academic system from age 6 to age 21, and then from a pre-determined corporate system from age 21 to age 65, and believe that we are living “free” lives, when in reality, we are really living lives within pre-determined systems of very limited choices, i.e., the matrix. The concept of the matrix was heavily promoted by the well-known film of the same name starring Keanu Reeves as the seminal character, Neo, and Laurence Fishburne as his mentor in teaching Neo the important constructs of the matrix.
I discuss the enormous benefits to our self-image and mental health of making a decision to exit the matrix. I also discuss the massive difference between schooling and education, which a large majority of us confuse as being the same. Inside the matrix, we believe that schooling and education are the same constructs. Outside the matrix, we are able to correctly perceive that at times, schooling and education reside at the opposite sides of the reality spectrum.
In future vlogs, I will discuss how to escape this pre-determined “matrix” of life, and exit the matrix to live a free and rewarding life.
